The city of Buenos Aires was founded and developed with a close relationship to the water. Such that, the center was placed next to the Port of Buenos Aires. And right from the very begining, most of the administrative, commercial, and productive activities were linked to the river.

Today, the Port of Buenos Aires harbours the largest number of ships in Latin America. The Maritime Museum witnesses that evolution, that goes from the first cargo and passenger ships to today's modern vessels. In its 35.400 sq. ft. it will host permanent and numerous temporary exhibitions.
